Introduction to the World of Wine

Learn to swirl, sniff and sip like a pro, while acquiring basic knowledge of the world of wine. During this three-hour course you'll gain a brief history of wine. As you tour the Flat Creek Estate vineyard, you'll discuss the major wine regions of the world, what makes them suitable vineyard sites and what the stages of vine development are. Following the vineyard tour, you'll tour the modern 10,000 case winery and discuss basics of the winemaking process. Class will end with a guided wine tasting with elements to teach you how to taste like a pro!

No experience necessary but, a valid government issued ID verifying you are at least 21 years of age is required.

This class requires all participants to complete and sign a university Release and Indemnification Agreement before being considered enrolled in the class. Bring the completed form to the first class meeting and turn in to your instructor.
