Introduction to Tai Chi

Tai Chi for Beginners is the perfect way to explore and experience the numerous benefits of Tai Chi, no matter what shape you are in. This ancient, physical & meditative practice of the Yang style of the Tai Chi form is designed to build strength, improve health & flexibility, reduce stress, increase energy flow, promote health & wellness and relax your mind. These easy-to-follow lessons teach the Tai Chi postures with clear, step-by-step instructions. The routines are low-impact with modifications taught for less-flexible people. 


Thomas Gohring

Thomas Raphael Gohring decided to study kung fu when he was 14. The tai chi and kung fu master opened his school for adults, families and pre-kindergartners 10 years later. Master Gohring's Tai Chi and Kung Fu has been noted for its Karate Kids Birthday Parties and ranked "Best of Austin" for 10+ years.

Course Materials

Please bring a uniform fee of $40 (includes t-shirt, pants and tai chi shoes) to first day of class. Please arrive a half hour EARLY on the first day of class to get fitted for your uniform.

This class requires all participants to complete and sign a university Release and Indemnification Agreement before being considered enrolled in the class. Bring the completed form to the first class meeting and turn in to your instructor.
