Horseback Riding, Western: Beginner

You can learn to ride a horse at any age. Horseback riding is one of the most exciting, rewarding, and adventurous sports around. If you are a first time rider, or have ridden in the past, this class is for you. Learn basic horse handling, grooming, tacking up, and riding skills. Riding topics covered include, but are not limited to: mounting/dismounting, proper position, communication and aids, walking, trotting, and basic figures.

Bear Creek Stables

Linda has been the owner of Bear Creek Stables since she designed and built it in 1982. She is a certified instructor with the Horsemanship Safety Association, a national instructor certification association.

This class requires all participants to complete and sign a university Release and Indemnification Agreement before being considered enrolled in the class. Bring the completed form to the first class meeting and turn in to your instructor.
