This class will surprise and inform you with little-known facts of the past including: how did Cleopatra, a plain looking woman, seduce two Roman leaders? How did one liar save ancient Greece from annihilation, and another one cause the 1941 “undeclared war” in the Atlantic? How did the rise of Islam stimulate American slavery? What is the myth surrounding Christopher Columbus’ voyage of 1492? How did the weather save the American Revolution from an untimely end? Find out the answers to these questions and learn other interesting facts in this class.
