Digital Photography for Beginners

Become comfortable and familiar with the manual operation and basic workings of the digital SLR camera. Use of optional lenses, basic lighting techniques, and changes in technology will also be discussed. Emphasis will be placed on creativity and learning how to incorporate compositional elements that will allow you to turn good photos into great photos.

Carlos Austin

Carlos Austin is a third generation photographer. He studied the Arts at Minneapolis College of Art and Design from 1974-1975, as well as at Kunstakademie in Duesseldorf, Germany from 1985-1987.

Course Materials

You must have a digital SLR camera with manual control settings. Be prepared to spend a minimum of $5 for processing costs or digital storage. Please bring your camera manual with you to class.
